   I finished “Olivia’s Magical Moment: A Calico Cat Mystery” by Patricia Fry last night. Tonight is “ Myths and Magic (A Spellbound Bookshop Mystery Book 3)” by JA Whiting. Two of my favorite cozy mystery authors.

   I love to use glitter paper in my papercrafting, particularly for winter themed creations. I am seriously considering buying an entire second set of crafting tools and storage containers to try to isolate the glitter infestation. I’m not sure it will be successful, since it is already everywhere! I’ve even found glitter in the bed.

   I watched crows chase a bobcat last week. They also made an incredible racket, which is what alerted me to see what the cause was.

   Also while being out in the wildlands makes for a great story, it’s not a good PSA. Yesterday I watched a bobcat stroll across the yard. I saw one when I lived in suburban CT too. In CT I also saw Fishers, which sometimes attack cats. Here we have plenty of bald eagles, they can easily pick up a cat. Oh and we have lynx too. Way too many predators out there.

   I have a lot of problems with my fingers and thumbs. If the shots are done by a hand surgeon, they don’t hurt. Just a weird feeling of the liquid going through your hand. I’ve had shots done by orthopedics and rheumatologist, more painful than the hand surgeon. Having had surgery for two trigger fingers and one thumb, I will take the shots any day over the surgery, For me, the outcome has never been great, I always seem to lose mobility and still have pain in my thumb. I also get cortisone in my knees and fluoroscopic injections in my back. I have OA in many of my joints.

   In our last apartment, on the second floor, we had a balcony. It was completely enclosed in wood with a wide ledge. Cooper loved to sit on the ledge purveying the world. He found Fender that way. But one day, he made the leap up, and flew over the edge. I was frantic. The complex was in a wooded area with lots of wildlife, including fisher and bobcat. Thankfully he was only a bit stunned and hadn’t run off by the time I got down to the ground.

    Sunrise at 5:25 this morning. I hate having to wake up in the dark, so I don’t mind the early sunrise.
