The lowest point in Nepal is only 59 meters/197 feet above sea level, and the lowest point in Bhutan is 97 meters/318 feet. Lesotho is the only country in the world that is entirely above 1000 meters in elevation, not just Africa.

I first heard the term in the 70’s growing up.. we would “catch air” when jumping our bikes or skateboards, then later when getting some good heights when skiing over moguls or small hills…

The Governor? Sitting by himself at a local bar, with no security detail (visible)?

Is it just me, or do others feel this story is just c r e e e e e e e p i n g along at a snail’s pace? I’m having to go back and re-read some of the earlier panels from weeks ago to remind myself exactly what’s going on. At least it’s interesting enough to keep me interested…

Imagine all the water on earth as being “the universe”. In comparison, out of all that water, we’ve been able to explore roughly a 12-ounce glass. If you go to the ocean with an empty glass, and scoop up 12-ounces of water, and there are no fish in that glass, would you say there are no fish in our oceans, just because you see no fish in your sample?

25,000 years based on our current understanding of physics. Imagine folding a blanket or sheet, where you bring corners together. Imagine that you are a lint ball (or whatever) is on one corner, and when you bring the corners together, you are able to jump from one corner to the other. Instead of folding the blanket more, you UNfold it. Now you are on the other side of the blanket, without having to travel the entire distance of the blanket. Imagine space as a blanket in this scenario. That’s the way ‘warp travel’ was explained to me. instead of travelling through space in a linear fashion, you “warp” space and basically jump from point to point in an instant.

Uhhmmmm…. I’m a Biomedical Equipment technician, and I use a soldering iron in my job. I’ve never had a soldering iron make much of a noise at all, much less ZZZZTTTTT… Weird…
