   No, the dates are correct. I, also in 1978, had to register. They reinstated registration, but not the draft itself, as I recall.

   Some of them, most around here these days, are composting ones or, due to soil conditions, have to be pumped out regularly and not allowed to just leech into the ground like they all used too. I’ve seen/used some truly gross ones of the old school.

   Much as I hate to add to the notion that all men are perverts looking for a chance to peek at women relieving themselves (we don’t, that’s just gross), there was a case a while ago where some truly creepy perv was caught, in a Tyvek suit, in the tank under the outhouse. IMHO, they should have sealed the thing off and left him there.
