   My read on this is that he thinks she’s left him. We don’t know what she thinks. She may think they are still a couple. They seemed very happy together back in the strip where they returned from the trip.

   My grandmother did the same thing. Then, after she died, someone was hired to clean the house, but they didn’t know what all the little notes were fore and threw them away. This left us with no record of who was to get what. I remembered one or two items, but that was about it.
