There are a number of parents who have attempted to dump their responsibility for teaching their children how to behave properly in public onto school teachers. This may have been pointedly directed at them.
Proper gammar and semantic correctness are not the same thing. For example, “The sky is blue.” is grammatically correct. However, it is not semantically correct. “The volume of space immediately visible above us is a frequency of the electromagnetic spectrum usually refered to as part of the color grouping ‘blue’.” is closer to a semantically correct statement.
I somehow seemed to have missed the request for that. Otherwise I would have started my original post with the phrase "To the best of my ability to recall such things, "
Things get lost in the Cloud as well, and the various companies that supposedly maintain clould storage are not required to inform you of the loss. Not to mention the lack of strong enough security to prevent unauthorized access. Sigh.
Back in the ‘50s the family budget didn’t allow for imported coffee. And, in my opinion, it’s an acquired taste anyway. Kind of like prefering Earl Grey tea over Lipton’s.
