Yes, I think Paige was counting on that.

All valid points. I guess I’m thinking about it from a rational point of view.

Not sure about the suicide itself, but when men do it, they tend to make a mess, whereas women go quietly and cleanly. Seems like they are mad at someone. When public shooters are not killed or kill themselves, we learn their motives are almost angry. What do you think? You think the assassin expected to get away clean from a rooftop of a high-profile event surrounded by Secret Service and police?

I think in the past, men would commit suicide in private, leaving a literal mess for the loved ones they wished to spite (women tend to go neatly and quietly with drugs). In our narcissistic present, more and more suicides include inflicting pain on others, like taking out family members or innocent strangers. Or someone very high profile like a former President.

    What the shooter wanted, perhaps?

First thing I thought, too. Maybe she’s a freelance writer/designer, like some of the other comics characters we never see in an office.

Annoying, aren’t they? Sorta like people who generalize about mass groups of others being a certain way.

Ha! I heard on the radio the other day, “Don’t be the chips guy.” I’m bringing wine and flowers.

Worse ways to go, but traumatic for people at the party, I imagine. What was the cause? Heart (without chest pains)? Aneurysm? Drug overdose?
