I say “like kids”, but in truth it is usually the parents I dislike. I get it, you think your little meat sack is THE BEST meat sack. It is that way for a reason, so we don’t all eat our young, BUT parents are all so overboard now, and we have an entire couple of generations who are hooked on that parental idolization. They can’t believe they aren’t as great as their parents told them they were.
A Comic Con Fangirl wouldn’t be any better. She would be posting pics of how she partied with “Gun”. The cosplay world has become so different in the last 10 yers. Used to be nerds geeking out on their fandoms, now there is a large population who use it to further their “social personas”. If the Sailor Moon girl is one of them, she is just a groupie out for a conquest.I have has more than a couple of friends who fell prey to this. Good looking couples who became “famous” in the cosplay world. Always ended up with cheating and divorce.
Story line aside, I’m really enjoying this glimpse into the Con World. My son has been cosplaying Cons since he was 7 (he is 13 now). Halloween just wan’t enough LOL
People still go to the mall? Ours only has one toy store and it is Chinese knock off junk. The rest is just Anchor stores and perfume and age cream chasers.
Predatory students loans are nothing more than a temporary tourniquet. You have to loosen them at some point and then the blood flows! So many people now days with loans they wont pay off for 40 years or more. WTH? And I am not a young college kid. I am over 50 and looking at the state of the University system. It is appalling. In my opinion. Tiff should support herself doing what she does best. Become a style coach. Help young people entering the workplace present themselves professionally. Maybe a personal shopper, putting together wardrobes and accessories for those that don’t have that skill or the time to do it.
