Hate to be “THAT guy”, but even though it seems like “alright” should be a word in the same way that “already” or “almost” are, it’s not. Rather, the correct word usage should be “all right” (yes, even though “alright” doesn’t get the red squiggly from American English spellcheckers these days).
I went round and round with my editor about this as well.
