But you can’t drive an HOUR in RI without leaving the state. On my one and only visit to RI, we drove down from Worcester MA. We drove and drove expecting a “Welcome to RI” sign. Finally the sign came, and 7 miles later, we were in Providence. We had lunch, turned east for Plymouth MA, and 3 miles later were back in MA.Rhode Island has 1212 sq-mi. I’m from Utah. Utah has 84899 sq-mi. Any of our 5 national parks is bigger than RI. If we split up Utah into RI sized states, we’d be 70 states!
