Okay, this is weird — I never had an American Girl doll, but somehow I remember Kirsten (I loved the long blonde hair) and the Christmas candle crown — I guess because it scared me so. I live near the American Girl store, and I wander through there every now and again. It’s so cool.
I do have virtually everything for Muffy VanderBear and Hoppy VanderHare — and that’s a lot. So I can definitely relate, except I was an adult when I started collecting.
I made a pumpkin pie Tuesday and had a piece. Wednesday I was too full to have any. Then I completely forgot I had a pie and had to throw the rest out. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the leftover whipped cream. It won’t go with the hot dogs I planned for dinner.
I love my local library. It’s so cool that they will reserve books for me to pick up. I didn’t go to the library for several decades, but then I discovered that service, and now I go all the time.
I loved the poem, as usual. But apologies? From a cat?
