   Yes, they can be. But they are not only one of breeds most likely to attack — especially children and other dogs — but they are by far the most likely to kill. They latch on and they don’t let go until the “prey” is dead.

   That’s why home insurance policies will almost never cover pit bulls.

   We have snowdrops and some scilla blooming in Chicago and the hellebore have large buds but haven’t opened yet as it hasn’t been sunny. No butterflies, just plain flies — nowhere near as nice.
