The Broad Street reference is to London, England a famous street . It’s known for The Stock Exchange (entirely), The Bank of England (mostly) and The Royal Exchange, home of The London International Financial Futures Exchange. Two Story Craftsman is a reference to the luxury Craft brand stores on Broad St. It has nothing to do with the with Sears kit houses that were available by mail order from the Sears catalog 1908 to 1942. But then again, I don’t understand the cartoon.
