   I enjoy reading the comics, but I draw the line when it comes to doing research simply to “get” the comic. Is the intent to make the average Joe feel stupid?

   I’m tired of all the things I supposed to do, and if I don’t, I’m some sort of slobby person. Those that follow arbitrary rules about cleanliness & health are neurotic. Replace a pillow when flat and uncomfortable. Otherwise wash it when needed.

Does that resolve need to be proclaimed on billboards, protest marches, news headlines, comic comment sections and so forth? If your answer is yes, I ask: why? Who is the audience and what change will constant harping bring?“I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It” (credit to whomever is the current politically correct author).

   I have no experience with divorce, but I wouldn’t think it’s a jury trial. Is it even a trial? It’s a proceeding. That said, it’s a comic, I guess we can’t expect accuracy.

   Vanna is not a letter-turner. She’s a letter observer. The letters can and mostly do reveal on their own. Is there any purpose to her existence?

   Why are we judging behavior in the 1700s by today’s standard? Societal norms affect behavior. Or simply put, the way things are at a specific point in time, be it economic or peer pressure.

   As far as the framers, they needed to wage one war at a time. The fight for independence from Britian was currently on the plate and compromise was needed to attain that end.
