It’s rather subtle, but I think Arlo is racing around Ludwig while he is sleeping in an attempt to wake him, the way Ludwig races around in the middle of the night and wakes Arlo.
In Victorian England (and possibly earlier, I’m not sure), a drawing room was where the women withdrew after dinner to leave the men alone at the table to enjoy their port and cigars.
We had pocket doors between our dining and living rooms when I was a child. They worked perfectly. I see people are starting to use them again. They are very sensible in some circumstances.
My husband could sit next to me on the couch and say nothing for hours. If I called him from work for some reason, all of a sudden he had an hour’s worth of things to tell me.
You do realize this makes perfect sense, don’t you? Who makes all the water places in the house start and stop? Of course cats think humans can control the rain; it’s only logical.
