I have an answer to this, make Jonah pay for Luann taking care of Shannon. This should be standard practice instead of everyone simply incentivizing him to dump the kid.
These two are going to have to make a decision, at this stage in their marriage their time is most important. We have a wonderful grand daughter and help our daughter and son in law for real emergencies, however we have a life and both work and have told them “no we cannot take off and watch her”. It isn’t that we don’t love her or them, it is that no we are not their 24/7 on call free babysitting. Jonah must have day care for her so he can do his waiter job, sounds like time for Shannon to go there so they can go to work. Jonah needs to come home which Toni needs to let him know immediately or make arrangements for Shannon’s care. Which will probably have Jonah throwing a bigger fit than Shannon, or he can make arrangements for child care where he is and pay for it.
