   I’m waiting for the big reveal when we find out that Tiff has been crushing on/obsessed with Luann the whole time. High school is over, Tiff, as the child of rich parents, could be enrolled at any post-secondary institution she wanted to be in-yet she just happens to be in the same junior college as Luann? Just happens to have turned up in as many classes with Luann as possible? Just happens to be fixated with competing with and attracting the notice/attention of Luann?

   Think about it…throughout the strip, Tiff has made a point of being seen WITH men in public…yet there is no indication that she has ever been in anything like a actual relationship with anyone male. In fact, other than one other girl in high school that Tiff permitted to hang out with her, there’s no real indication that Tiff KNOWS anyone other than Luann.

   There’s something going on with that that’s far deeper than just a personal rivalry.

   Has the absence of Shannon’s mother ever been explained in the strip? Did she just vanish? Is she dead? What is the story there? Also, why doesn’t it seem to have occurred to Luann’s parents or to Brad and Toni to simply apply to be Shannon’s guardians? Jonah is clearly never going to stop being a flake-a charming, talented flake, but a flake nonetheless, so why would they let this unstable and potentially child-damaging situation continue?
