I live a mile from the Gulf of Mexico in Florida – last summer’s hurricane flooded everything west of me but that is what happens if you build a house 3 feet above sea level. We didn’t so much as lose power here.
Now we have freeze warnings and North Florida and the gulf coast has snow warnings.
Maybe someone who understands what “climate change” really means should be sitting in the White House right now, not an convicted felon who’s first act was to pardon rioters that attacked the US Capital Building.
It’s like what C & H would have been like when Calvin was older and found himself a group of like minded friends. Plus all the Wallace back stories, of course.
The books explained a lot of the backstory and filled in a lot of what was going on. Plus there were four books that created an extended first season. All four were excellent.
I still have both a model “Eagle” kit in the box, unopened, and a rare model kit of “MoonBase Alpha”, still in the box as I have no place to put it.
The rarest toy from the show was a “Corgi” metal “Eagle” transporter. Only saw one once, in a store in Bermuda when I was a kid. Never saw one again and I have searched Ebay for years for one.
Not the radium from those glow in the dark watches they had back then? I remember one of the kids from “Bloom County” made a working nuclear bomb from the radium scraped from 7,000 of them.
She still has her library job, and even though I’ve seen these all before, I don’t remember what comes next (but I don’t remember what I had for breakfast, either).
