This might sound harsh but I don’t think she has much of a chance as Quill. He got into drama camp based on his merit while Tiffany bought her way in. I think Tiffany may have other talents that could actually feed her.
I mean in terms of her growth. Remember the strip around Christmas of last year when she tries to clean her room and she mucks up the wall?
You also have the introduction of Tara. She’s supposed to be the exciting counterpart but all she does is get Luann into trouble. The dynamic between them could have been interesting like in Don’t Trust the B**** in appt 23. We don’t get that though.
She liked Gunter. She wanted to be an item with Gunter but he wanted to go after Bernice. Her flirting with Les was a result not getting attention from anywhere else.
She allied with Les because they have a common enemy.
I just want to throw something out there in response to something someone else said here. During junior high and high school Tiffany was just supposed to be the Alfa b****. It’s a common trope. It helped to highlight Luann’s imperfections (Luann being the relatable every girl).
Things shifted when college rolled around. Delta and Rosa were put on a bus. Gunter was almost put on a bus until G&K thought of something for him.
The characters were all supposed to grow. It’s college so why not change things up, right?
It wasn’t until after high school when we get introduced to this new side of Tiffany. One with unrequited feeling and parental abandonment. It could explain her behaviour back in high school but Greg didn’t want us to feel sorry for her.
Anne isn’t evil for flaunting her sexuality. She’s evil for being manipulative and scamming people. We hated her loooong before any mention of scented oils.
In this instance she’s evil for using her sexuality for her gold digging endeavours. Times have changed and marrying for money has largely fallen out of fashion.
I’m rooting her Tiffany because she’s clearly emotionally wounded. She didn’t get much parental affection growing up even though she tried to do so much for Tom’s affection. Instead she gets this. I’d be angry, too.
Tiffany doesn’t strike me as someone who is emotionally close to anyone, either. That has to hurt
Possibly. I think Tiffany should cut off Tom. I’m all for Tiffany quitting school and moving away from her dad. He’s only been toxic and no one deserves that.
I’m rooting for Tiffany because I see her fighting to remain daddy’s princess as a response to her crappy upbringing. Feeling abandoned or neglected sucks.
Tiffany fits the bill. She’s emotionally neglected by her dad, maybe even by her entire family, and while she can bring the boy to the yard she hasn’t been sucsessful in doing much else. She liked Gunther but he didn’t notice and I don’t think she had a lot of friendships because let’s face it. Most of the girls probably hated her.
As a female, I didn’t find any of that remotely offensive.
