I’m surprised that Andy didn’t read it this way: “‘To the mother of my…TWO children’?!”.

According to Incredible Comparisons (©1996) by Russell Ash, the speed of light is 670,616,629 M. P. H.. Exceeding it would require traveling at at least 983,571,056 feet per second.

I wonder if this was one of Roger’s other purchases (“random impulse purchases”, as Andy called them) when he went to go buy Halloween candy at Costclub.

Roger (after buying the candy) : Let’s see…what’s this?

(He notices a sign that reads, ‘LIFE-SIZED INFLATABLE AQUATIC CREATURES OF THE PAST’, and examines the choices in the aisle)

Roger: I’ll bet Jason would like one of these. I think I’ll get him the… Liopleurodon .

Jason (after Roger has returned with the inflatable Liopleurodon ) : Awesome! Thanks, Dad!

    Roger: Anytime, son.

I feel that Bill Amend should do this more often in his FoxTrot strip.

Both of these trucks are too small for scale. How can the drivers sit comfortably inside of them? The hot dog truck should be at least 9 feet tall and 20 feet long, and the ice cream cone truck should be at least 10½ feet tall and 23 feet long (Jon is 6 feet tall). Also, where are the doors?

Calvin would surely have more appreciation for math if he were assigned problems involving dinosaurs; for instance:

Calvin’s Dad: Calvin, the sauropod dinosaur Omeisaurus , of mid-Jurassic China, was 59 feet in overall length. The combined length of its head, torso, and tail was 32 feet. How long was its neck?

    Calvin: 27 feet.

    Calvin’s Dad: Correct!
