That could be a good strip
Elizabeth: Dad, I need $100.
John{frowning}: What do you want with $100?
Elizabeth: I don’t like to go around without money in my pocket. It doesn’t do well for the daughter of a rich dentist.
John{testy}: Who told you I was a rich man?
Elizabeth: Everybody in town says so. You are a dentist, so you must be.
John: I may or may not be rich, but I don’t care to encourage my children in extravagant habits.

Another aspect to it is fear. When I was a kid I requested to cross the street in order to visit a schoolfriend. My mother acted like I announced that I was moving out of the house to join the Navy. Finally she said “Well, OK, it’s just I worry. I heard there are those out there who lure people into being in snuff films.”
Years have passed and the FBI still has yet to find footage of an actual snuff film.

There was a white man who jumped into the Grand Canyon then he wowed everyone when he came back up. The Squad found out about this and figured that if a white man did it, why not double minorities. They all jumped in the Grand Canyon, but that was the end. Big funerals were planned and remembrances were done. It came to the attention of the man who did the stunt originally, and contacted Congress that he was sorry he may have encouraged copycats.
Speaker Johnson: I wish they had known better. just like people should know better to duplicate Evel Kneival’s jump. However, your condolences are appreciated, Superman.

Like in Goodfellas, where he has just acquired a suit with a French collar and lizard shoes
Henry Hill: Hey Ma, don’t you think this looks sharp. Aren’t my shoes great?
Mrs. Hill: Oh my God, you look like a gangster!

Michael is a goodfella?
Imagine Elly wants this:
Michael is wearing tattered jeans, old sneakers and a dirty T-shirt. He has long greasy hair and a scruffy beard. Suddenly he finds himself on a conveyor belt being taken to one building
BARBERSHOP
Out comes Michael, now beardless and with a crew cut, but still in tattered jeans, a dirty T-shirt and old sneakers. Conveyor belt starts up again, moving Michael to another building
HABERDASHERY
Out comes Michael, now wearing a neatly pressed suit, Paisley tie and Italian leather shoes
