Home ownership is a big responsibility, a privelege, the American dream (for many, not all). If one sees renting as freedom and home ownership as enslavement, I can see their point. It depends on lifestyle and what a person values. My life is vastly different as a homeowner. As to whether it’s “better” is personal perspective.
