Don’t forget to recognize the only dog that was a POW in WWII – the pointer Judy. She started saving Allied lives when she was adopted in 1937 by the crew of a British gun boat fighting against the Japanese on the Yangtze River in China. She survived the war and died in Africa in 1950.
