Similar here, but Ex being, as in Ex-spouse, has-been, making expert a has-been under pressure.

“Invested” is good choice of words. After sitting at the same address for over 50 years, the nearest thing I have to continuity of local interaction (neighborhood gossip) is the comic strips. Even the kids that took over the parent’s places have moved on, but these comics folks are still here, even if they do take the “new” house.

Admirable history. Stay alert and keep setting the example.

Good Night Mrs Calabash, wherever you are…(private messages were not allowed at the time so various performers tugged an ear or addressed fictional characters, etc…)

Yes, old; and if you can still play it, quite skilled as well.

If you’re not retired and unfettered I don’t recommend getting a motorcycle. Uncaged is only 35 times more hazardous than caged, but depending on the timing and route, can be either exhilarating or exterminating. Bikes risky, bigger vehicles deadly. (2024 Caged, 600 miles; uncaged 3000 miles: however, experience is no accurate measure of ability)

Alone is excellent. Sharing with someone special is good too. Cardo-type communications can be helmet-to-helmet for a group. Can even lose and re-connect if someone gets out of touch for a while. I don’t use communicators while on the move. A few riders hand-signals when required.
