They coulda been a contender! (Vic’s half brothers and sisters)

    Relationship with William IV

Pretty, witty and intelligent, Jordan soon came to the attention of wealthy men. She became the mistress of William, Duke of Clarence, later King William IV, in 1790, after he had taken notice to her at Drury Lane. Jordan began living with him first at Clarence Lodge and later, in 1797, at Bushy House,29 and seemed to have not bothered herself with politics or the political intrigues that often went on behind the scenes in royal courts. Together they had at least ten illegitimate children, all of whom took the surname FitzClarence:

George FitzClarence (29 January 1794 – 20 March 1842), created Earl of Munster in 1831. Married Mary Wyndham.Henry Edward FitzClarence (27 March 1795 – September 1817). Unmarried.Sophia FitzClarence (August 1796 – 10 April 1837), married Philip Sidney, 1st Baron De L’Isle and Dudley.Mary FitzClarence (19 December 1798 – 13 July 1864), married General Charles Richard Fox. No issue.Lieutenant General Lord Frederick FitzClarence GCH (9 December 1799 – 30 October 1854), officer in the British Army. I wonder what happened to all of William IV’s illegitimate children? He died childless (legitimate kids that is). He was succeeded by his niece, Victoria, and his Brother, Albert.

Bit of trivia there for you. I don’t recall seeing Vic’s uncle in any strips, but I might have missed it. Nor the surviving eight illegitimate kids of same. KIds were born from a liaison with an actress Dorothea Jordan.

You mean like Ivanka’s clothing line? I rather like the Regency men’s suits with the spiffy riding boots, but that’s a bit early for Victoria.

What the hell is a premium member anyhow? Us Canadians take an additional 25% hit on any payments, so a five dollar donation worked out to like $8.50 from PayPal.

We’re all doing what we can. Real people, not corporate sponsors. Most of us are barely holding our own. Not blowing my own horn but poor people know what it’s like to be down and out, and that’s where most of the money is coming from. The number of subscribers is somewhat skewed as well, like Facepoop. It may show 12,000 or whatever, but there are probably only hundreds that actually visit on a regular basis. Even less that comment, and less that can donate even if they wanted to :(

He’s got a cleaning staff the size of the 1st Airborne Division. And judging by the movie they really know how to kick. Then there is that Asian guy, Odd Job and other one that did Coke commercials.
