I’ve been thinking that it’s the Boy, too, but I’ve been reading the strips on my phone for the last couple of months and I can’t remember my GoComics password, so I haven’t been able to comment here. I really need to rectify that.

I’m 53 and one of my closest friends is 28. Every once in a while the age difference hits us. Like I didn’t have a baby shower because my family and friends were a thousand miles away. I was thinking one day that she would’ve thrown me a baby shower if she’d been my friend back then. She agreed wholeheartedly.
Then we realized that she was 8 when I had my son.

It’s so nice to see Classic Doctor Who fans as a valid part of the fandom. I never really got into the revival series (at least in part because I wasn’t going to shell out for BBC America just for the one show). I’m old-school enough that I still refer to the Doctors by the names of the actors. And boy, does that make me feel like the odd man out these days. My favorite Doctor is probably Peter Davison (Five) and my favorite companion, far and away, is Sarah Jane (RIP Elisabeth Sladen).

There is another Nancy Drew — in Nancy’s Mysterious Letter, Nancy gets a letter for a Nancy S. Drew. The “A” plot of the book involves a bag of mail stolen from the vestibule of Nancy’s house and the “B” plot involves a letter that she receives telling her that Nancy S. Drew has inherited a fortune and her search for the other woman with her name. I doubt that they’d go so deep into it as this, but it is an anniversary celebration. and Nancy’s Mysterious Letter was the eighth book in the series. It’d be a neat bit of bait-and-switch if it were.

I’ll take the bait. I think that “less” is probably the right choice, because “fewer” would imply that people kittens have the same kind of claws on fewer toes. The total volume of people kitten claws is lower than for kittens. Or should be, if their parents keep on top of trimming them.

I don’t know if it’s exactly what you want, but I got a nice speckled effect on one of my projects in my art class in college by putting the paint on a toothbrush and running my thumbnail down it.

One picture of a red Big Rock Candy Mountain record that I found says “Billy Williams and His Cowboy Rangers.” Another says “Jimmy Blaine.” See if either of those are what you’re looking for.

Did anyone here ever see the 1980s Twilight Zone series episode “A Matter of Minutes”? A couple wakes up and finds their house overrun by blue men in blue coveralls. At first they think they’re being burglarized but then they realize that the blue guys are bringing their belongings into the house. Their supervisor explains that every minute is built ahead of time and the living beings are physically taken from one minute to the next. Sometimes the workers make a mistake and forget an item that was supposed to be on a counter or in a drawer (but then they usually remember it when building subsequent minutes). Because of this, my mom and I always blamed things that disappeared like that on “the blue guys.”

Did you take any medications before bed?
I’m trying to develop a taste for coffee because I have asthma and get migraines. My medication usually suffices for those, but every once in a while, the wheezing or pain won’t go away and I figured it’d make a good backup for those rare occasions. I mix my coffee with chocolate milk and haven’t been able to get any higher than 75% coffee, 25% chocolate milk.
