    Runner sleds could be real fast, but you had to have a good sled run built up that was basically just a chute of smooth ice. A few days of flat-bottomed plastic sleds, and then a couple really cold days to freeze it up real hard, and fwoosh, you’re doing Olympic bobsled numbers.
