I put a good bit of blame on the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader. I believe the moderates from both parties could broker compromises on most issues if the Speaker and SML didn’t insist on having a majority of Republican votes guaranteed before even putting a bill up for a vote. And then they both insist they won’t bring up something for a vote unless they are guaranteed Trump will sign it, even though we all know that 1) he changes his mind hourly and reneges on promises daily, and 2) likely won’t veto anything that both Houses have passed because he doesn’t want to take the blame for non-passage.
@Jeffiekins “Classified” doesn’t mean “secret and above.” There is a classification called, literally, “Classified,” which is a lower level than Secret. Tons and tons of insignificant documents get labeled Classified, often for no discernible reason. That doesn’t excuse careless handling of documents, but it DOES mean that you can’t claim that the documents on Weiner’s laptop were necessarily secret documents.
Gee, that would put just about all the nation’s wealth in the Dem country.
