   Right, and it’s also such a vast medium at this point. Not to make a judgement call, but reading a manga like One Piece compared to a manga by, say, Moto Hagio (who has won various Japanese cultural prizes for her work since the 1970s) are vastly different experiences.

    I admit, I’m kinda surprised to see casual smoking from a mom in a modern strip (although I’m not saying it’s unrealistic, but just the fact that TV and movies now up their ratings when there’s smoking…)
