JJ is throwing a few jabs today. Humbuggery, Sole View, Giving vis-à-vis Gifting, and even hitting Santa. Where to start… Anyway, JJ’s brother looks a lot like Arlo’s did last week.
I remember frequent trips to my Dad’s barber with my brothers. In the summer we’d get flat tops as well but not my Dad. During the school year we wore it longer. I think we would go every two weeks, with a trim between haircuts.
Grew up in Chicago but so far from Downtown that we had a News Agency that handled the delivery for all the daily papers. Never had a route but collected 6% on all the monthly subscriptions across a half mile square for a couple years. Came to nearly $40 a month. Passed it on to my brother. It grew to $60 but then they switched to mailing bills. They wanted my brother to keep working for them to collect those not paying by mail but still would only pay 6%. Turned it down, cold.
Same here, obviously, but we had it when we needed it.
