Yeah, sorry, that’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works. Politics will always be in media. Even it’s absence is a political statement. Especially in a slice of life comic like this one, without a set story. This is what the author wants to talk about. This is what the author wants to focus on. Yes it’s about a boy and his dog, but it’s also about his family. His two dads, his aunts. You know, the aunts depicted in this very comic. More to the point, I read somewhere the author based this comic on his actual kid. Meaning the comic is kind of about the author too. If you don’t agree with what you’re seeing in those four lines up there, then the comic isn’t for you. Not that you can’t voice an opinion, you obviously can. But you don’t get to dictate the narrative. This isn’t your comic.

No, but we could all use more rainbow-flavored slams in our lives.

It’s likely based on “Last Year’s” performance.I guess last year she didn’t do so well, and she was just getting a warning from the teacher about it.

“The thing about happiness is that you only know you had it when it’s gone. I mean, you may think to yourself that you’re happy. But you don’t really believe it. You focus on the petty stuff, or the next job, or whatever. It’s only looking back, by comparison to what comes after, that you really understand that’s what happiness felt like.”

I assume it’s a personal choice they made. Not everyone shaves their legs.
