   Submariner: not only must one be quite when a golfer is driving, i have been “asked” to move because the golfer could see me during the backswing. Golfers and tennis players are too delicate.

   i closed a couple dot com offices for my company. Told the ex-employees to take what ever they wanted from the office. They cleaned it out quickly. Liquidators i had called were only interested in 1 or 2 items, i said they had to take everything, which they declined.

   i served in the US Navy in the early 50’s. I heard stories from WW2 vets that it took 8 hours for the USS Yorktown to sink at the battle of Midway giving the crew time to raid the ice cream locker

   when the sub is on the surface there are 2 lookouts, and the officer of the deck has binoculars.

    When my boss visited my office, we always went to very nice restaurants for dinner and drinks. He had me pay with my card. He did this because my expense account went to him for approval. His expense account went to his boss and he did want to explain those charges. I have been to company dinners where I was asked to pay, because the president of the company did not want the outrageous charges on his expense account. Clever, and we all did it. People in accounting saw it all but did not want to point it out.
