My early furnishing were uh ecclectic. Power co. spool for a coffee table, beer case, nicely disguised, for an end table, various free chairs et al. It worked.
Given the fact Gunth chased a girl to the jungles of Peru and now in college he’s annoyingly naive. It’s not cute or amusing it’s silly. Reminds me of when the Brady Bunch was on too long and the kids too old to be that goofy. He needs to mature beyond having stubble. Everyone else in the strip has he’s stunted.
I was an only child and my mother wasn’t this emotional trainwreck. Irma seems to be getting soft in the medulla. Gray better get her to the altar soon or instead of I do she’ll answer “who ordered the veal cutlet?”
Yes it’s sad because this is going down the same road Funky Winkerbean did. Once he “matured” the characters he brought them too much into the real world and they became addicted, neurotic and depressed pseudo people who were not at all likeable. I fear for all of them.
In the silly putty world of comics everything is possible. It is an existing room with electricity so making it a bedroom may not be an issue. Moving the laundry and doing the plumbing would be. Really what I’m waiting for is Brad to grow a pair. She’s ok with it because of her insecurities about money probably. But enough already. If I had a perpetual house guest regardless of the reason I would tire of his presence after a while. Time to grow up folks.
