Since they just set up their “What they are going to do if another cat goes missing” protocol with the joint transmission thing I’m thinking he’ll be in there a while.
If the dumbwaiter was a later addition to the house there may not have been enough room in the wall to accommodate it. The cupboard door that is “always stuck” could have been glued shut when the dumbwaiter shaft was installed. But now time has caught up with the glue, and the door has been left free to pop open.
We used to have a lot of dogs and a couple of cats. One of the things we would do is make bread pellets so we could give the dogs a “treat”. The dogs would all line up and get their treat, something that was less about how it tasted than just they considered food to be special when it came directly from us. But obviously it was unacceptable to the cats to be left out, so they’d be right there lined up for their own bread pellets. Some odd things happen when cats are socialized to live with dogs.
In my neck of the woods we were using “hork” to describe coughing up hairballs in the 70s. I think the computer slang comes from the “vomit” meaning rather vice versa.
Never did I think would come a day when I would say “Elvis is totally right!”
