   Your own words from your first post- “Promoting violence (even as a joke) isn’t helping anything. We need to find a way to get through to ten percent of the people who voted for Trump or about a third of the people who didn’t vote at all, and divisive jokes don’t help.” I call BS because the middle doesn’t give a %^$^ about civility- you ignore the brutality and overwhelming crass vile bigotry the right is wrapping their ‘message’ in to whimper that insulting them doesn’t help. The precious middle you go on about has spoken and they DO. NOT. CARE. ABOUT. CIVILITY. Focus on a message addressing their needs (the whole ‘one paycheck or medical emergency from disaster’ that you refuse to respond to) and don’t hesitate to call out the rights racist misogynist garbage in very clear and unmistakable terms. The parallels to Hitler’s rise to power are clear and your ‘civility’ did not work then and will not work now.

   Fail to see where pointing out the voters aren’t buying your ‘civility’ is ‘giving up on democracy’. That said, by putting a fascist racist demagogue in the white house it’s pretty clear the voters aren’t too concerned about democracy to begin with and suggesting we (on the left) need to address them in a way they will respond is admittedly fringe among you mewling ’let’s reason with racists’ types so I’ll give you that- now go spend your time making nice with the Magats.

   Insulting? Look, if I go insulting you will know it. I’m not going to be civil to the reich wingers nor pretend their ‘issues’ are anything other than racist misogynist baiting and blaming. The middle you refer to, as I keep noting, are amoral sheep- they didn’t care that Hitler was tormenting and demonizing the Jews and they don’t care that the racist demagogue is going to torment the undocumented people fleeing the wars and chaos that we (as a nation) inflicted on their homelands. So, again, stop mewling about ‘civility’ somehow ‘reaching the middle’ – arguably that has been the Democrats strategy for the last two elections- and concentrate on dismissing the reich wingers as the scum they are. Stop bleating about how well you manage an economy that leaves the middle one paycheck or medical crisis from bankruptcy and financial ruin. The amoral middle works hard and they don’t like the situation they are in and they are willing to support anyone- be it (per your experts) an ‘unelectable’ racist demagogue or (per you and your experts) an ‘unelectable’ socialist like Bernie. Again, nothing in that equation has anything to do with the middle actually caring about being decent human beings- much less about civility- if they did we would have President Harris.

   Lapdog gets to define rape however he wants so long as his orange one is not called a bad thing. Rape is nonconsensual penetration in Indiana – and both New York and Indiana define it as non-consensual penetration by any part of the attacker, so fingering is rape. The New York issue was the rape was out of statutory limits not the form of contact. Regardless we are talking about his character (or lack thereof) and not parsing statutes and by any definition he has been found to have raped a woman. Kissing women without permission is also sexual assault so he did admit to sexual assault, not that fascist lapdog will ever consent to calling him this or a rapist because, again, all that matters is his orange demagogue has done no real wrong.

TBH it’s manifestly impossible to read about our national COVID response and not see stuff about the playbook being tossed so it appears our lapdog is doing the very fascist thing of loudly proclaiming something that exists doesn’t exist because admitting it would make their bloated pig look bad.

   Convoluted defense for the win! Rape, in standard English, is non-consensual intercourse or penetration. Aside from admitting it on tape (the orange pig made clear he was a celebrity and he could- and had- grabbed them) We have a civil court that found he did exactly the definition of rape, so he is a rapist, but again our fascist lapdog has his own definitions of what is proof and what words mean and the only consistency is nothing can ever mean his orange demagogue ever did anything wrong. You are correct in saying the orange pig was not convicted of rape in a civil trial, but he was found to have committed rape in a civil trial and can thus be called a rapist- a truth you seem anxious to overlook despite your alleged concern with the ‘truth’. So quick question- is your orange pig a rapist? Yes or no. Assuming you say no (big leap there /s) is he a sexual assaulter? After all, aside from the civil court finding and all the credible accusations we have him on tape bragging about it (‘grab them by the p****’- in case you want to claim ignorance on this) so does that fit your exalted level of proof required to say something negative about the orange vermin Mister “I only want the truth- and for you nasty lefties to be civil….”?Not looking forward to your convoluted defense of the pig, just trolling to prove you are indeed his fascist lapdog.

   Not aware of the pandemic playbook? Either a liar or you have no business commenting on this subject. The original point was that the orange pig (btw- still waiting for you to lecture some reich winger on the need for civil discourse) had damaged our national ability to respond to a pandemic by cutting resources in that area (be it Beijing or Wuhan) and tossing already prepared contingency plans. You trotting out alleged proof that having those things in place would have made no difference is a pathetic defense against the actual charge, equivalent to saying ‘sure, they weren’t wearing a seatbelt but it would have made no difference’ possibly true but irrelevant to the degree of carelessness prior to the event. As for your ‘may be a racist’ it is beneath contempt by your convoluted reasoning defending the orange pig no one on earth can be a racist without a signed affidavit from them declaring they are.

    “Bernie couldn’t win” the Democrats pushed the orange one’s nomination against Hillary because he “couldn’t win”. In the context of how the orange one said it (sources close to him said he was concerned) I believe it to be true- he is a liar but also a very effective demagogue. Finally, as I said, the middle you blather about are amoral sheep- Hitler forcefully offered a better deal and they bought it. No evidence any of the middle you are so fond of were at all concerned about violent rhetoric and violence toward the Jews so suggesting that somehow the middle were ‘put off’ by the left wing violence while being supportive of right wing violence is absurd.
