Goodness, I hope if he retires the strip just ends. I hate when the strip gets a new artist that doesnāt even resemble the old work or characters. I appreciate new talent, but let them have their own characters, their own new adventure.
It reminded me of an old black and white movie about an adoption called āPenny Serenadeā with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne that was quite a tear-jerker. But the little girlās name is different.
My husband and I once bought a furished apartment that came with a crazy high bed. I always thought it was odd, but it was clearly custom built and I thought they just wanted extra storage space, which is how I used it. I think you just provided a much better explanation, especially as I remember the former owners having at least 3 large dogs.
Iām in my 40s, I use my good china every Sunday for supper unless we eat out. I also encourage my kids to wear their ādressā clothes more casually. They grow out of them so fast, they might as well wear those special Christmas sweaters and dresses for a few months.
I have 3 children and the youngest was just overheard saying something to this effect to her older brothers. They were aghast! Sheās been a terror of excitement since we started decorating, and the older, wiser boys are convinced sheās gonna blow it with Santa for all of them! Life-art-this strip is us tee! ā and we donāt even have any cats!
This is so adorable! Makes me think of the one with Pucky embarrassed to be awarded a sticker for going potty. I love when the children and the cats are in cahoots!
This is like my use of the term ālunch bucket.ā My Dad carried his lunch in a bucket to school in the 40s. And he always called my lunchbox a ālunch bucketā in the 80s. Now I still call my kidsā soft-sided, insulated lunch receptacles (bag or box? Who knows?) lunch buckets, and I think itās rubbing off on a third generation! I loved making lunches with my Dad!
This is the question that always goes through my mind everytime someone mentions pockets. My son gets all creeped out when I ask him this.
