An update on the fencing: the cat still hasn’t gotten out, but here’s the thing. Another cat…got IN. And then that cat somehow got OUT. And this is a problem because now we know that it’s possible, but we don’t know how…
Good news! In response to the cat trying to jump the fence, we have installed a plexiglass screen to keep the cat from climbing the fence, plus longer cat fencing. After a trial run, the cat is now allowed to be in the backyard as long as people are in the house!
More news on our cat, Berlioz, jumping the fence. We installed a horizontal board to keep him from climbing the fence, but two days ago, he just jumped 5 FEET in the air and landed his claws on the edge of the board. We may have to install this rolling cylinder to the top of the board to keep him from getting hold.
Just imagine Elvis’ face right now. Can his mask fit if he fluffs?
Also, our cat, Berlioz, has been stuck inside for about a month now. We’ve talked with a contractor about fixing the fence, and we have plans, but nothing major has happened so far. Meanwhile, Berlioz is getting discouraged. At least he got a new scratcher for his birthday yesterday.
That must be so hard for you.
