I can’t believe I’m so upset by the death of a cat I’ve never met. We lost a severely asthmatic Siamese at 10.5 years very suddenly and I know how devastating that sudden loss can be. Here’s my favorite Lupin strip – mostly because it’s so true in our house:https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2021/08/14

Hi, I currently live in SW Ohio but grew up mostly in the Adirondacks of New York State (Dad retired from the USAF when I was seven). My husband of 37 years and I are slaves to three Siamese: Miss Kimmie, 12, Jack the Ripper, 11, and our asthmatic, Dexter, 10. I love all animals and would have more except I’d be single if I did. My husband turned me on to BCN a few years ago and I’ve enjoyed it ever since.

I love Lupin’s fangs in the last panel; my brother used to do that over 50 years ago.

First: my husband’s undergrad was geology, he’s now a technical writer.

Second: my father was a WWII fighter pilot (P-51) who wanted to fly the P-38 (if he was going to fly an in-line engine he wanted two of them). Shaunnmunn mentioned the little P-38 ditty and I’ve never heard anyone else say it. I knew it as, “Give me the P-38, with props that counter rotate. She’ll loop roll and spin, but she won’t auger in, just give me the P-38.”

BTW, Dad said his favorite aircraft was the P-47.
