“If you look around the table and you can’t tell who the sucker is, it’s you.” -Paul Scofield (1922-2008)

Luann is clearly in an elevated “After” position since she seems to see the irony of this con-game. Bets and Tiff are about as “Before” as it gets in terms of integrity, validity, and responsibility.

Potential CAQ Question: “In the future, do you see yourself as willing to be exploited by BATUBS for (a) a three month contract, (b) a one year contract, or © a five year contract?” (Because, you know, predatory hustlers like us have bills to pay too!)

Padded or not, Luann’s cool retort and the expression on her face hilariously level the playing field between these two rivals . . . yet again!

Watch out Luann! Tara’s “well-intended” actions led to a major job loss and public embarrassment for you in the past. Imagine what she’d do “on purpose” if she became angry!

Question One: How soon before Bets pulls out her phone and captures Kip and Tiff in a compromisingly awkward moment?

Question(s) Two: Does Stef have WiFi at the cheerleading competition? Will she see this viral upload before she faces the judges?

So it was none of Luann’s business when Tara’s actions involved (a) Luann losing her job at Lincoln Elementary School and (b) Luann helping her avoid her dangerous cousin and squat at “The Fuse” (which ended violently). Got it, Tara. Thanks.

Mrs. Horner is a brilliant teacher! She recognizes that a face-to-face class is where real education occurs, and she knows how to engage her students with an active participation exercise like this!

I love Tiff’s “side eye” in panel one: a simple expression that speaks volumes.

I’ll admit that they are similar. But Bets seems ready to throw anyone under the bus if it improves her social media viewer count numbers, IMO. I wonder how she would react if Tiffany pulled out her own phone now to start filming the drama that’s likely to unfold. (Then Tiff could share it on her own feed to recoup some of the money she lost this past summer listening to Bets’ “marketing” advice. See June 8.)
