God as a metaphor is a much better story than the “the bible is literally true” stuff being peddled by so many people here who obviously don’t pay much thought to living the message they claim to believe in.
It’s a shame the Gnostic gospels were expelled from the bible.
The problem is they think prayer is an acceptable alternative to meaningful action.
Pray all you want, but the vaccine is what will prevent you from getting sick. And pray that the next hurricane steers clear of you, but you’d be a fool to not get the sandbags ready just in case.
I recognize that all gods are a figment of man’s (sorry, man or woman’s although I suspect they were mostly invented by men) imagination, and I live my life accordingly.
