Luann chose the cheaper college and is racking up credits to transfer to Mooney on a full ride academic scholarship, saving her folks far more in tuition costs than any rent stipend she might kick in right now. College is an investment in your offspring; the final step in preparing them for a solvent and presumably happy life. Too bad Nancy doesn’t seem to recognize that. Actually pretty sad she seems to regard her daughter as a liability when, in fact, she is putting her energy into her schooling as she should in order to be academically successful.
Exactly— Tiff is not exactly portrayed as desperation level though. Les is pretty much pond scum, and Tiff is no bottom feeder…he’s creepy. So is thinking she LIKES him. It’s huge that they are even friends. Leave it!
