   Typhoon or Cyclone, unless you’re talking to someone REALLY pendantic, in which case, Typhoons are in the Pacific and Cyclones are in the Indian (as opposed to Hurricanes in the Atlantic). Of course, if you wanted to be pendantic about the pronunciation, then you could go with what I’ve always been told is the British pronunciation, which has a soft “a” at the end (pronounced hurr-eh-cun, rhymes with none).
