Nope, he’s running scared. The detail is in the hyphen. “Man eating octopus” is in panel 3… literally a man eating an octopus. “Man-eating octopus” (with the “-” hyphen), switches the meaning around, to an octopus that eats man (or pigs). RUN AWAY!!!
