I enjoy reading these old comments; it’s like an archive of the world as it was “over 12 years ago.”—We have indeed phased out DVDs for streaming exclusively through Hulu and Netflix, and once the major networks caught wind of how well those were doing, they immediately gutted the former of the latters titles for their own network. So now, instead of watching King of the Hill, The Office, Avatar etc on Netflix or Hulu, you can pay $20/mo to watch The Office on Peacock! (Because nothing else they have is worth the price)—What’s better is that they’re constantly raising their prices. “You can opt for an ad version if you wanted? That’s free!”. If I wanted to watch ads I’d go back to cable; that was the whole point of these streaming platforms to begin with.—In that same vein (and I realize it’s a tangent now), why is every G.D. show 45m or longer? What happened to the quick sitcom that was wrapped up at the end of 27m (22m now because they speed it up for more ads)? I want to sit, have a quick bite, and be in and out. I don’t want to sit for 45m when most of it is filler. 10m on “here’s what they did last” and 10m on “here’s what they’ll do next”.
