That doesn’t look like fabric. Cosplay armour is made out of worbla or foam thermoplastics and it’s never been mentioned before that Gunther is able to work with that stuff. It’s not so easy to use and paint and needs quite some experience. So either she bought it from someone or she made it herself.
I don’t really get that. I’m a parent too and of course I dropped a few hobbies, but only because I took up new ones that I found more interesting. Getting older doesn’t have to be a game of “used to”. It surely doesn’t have to be a “I’ve always done this, so I HAVE to continue”, but this so-called “joke” about parents giving up everything they were and are and being called boring by their kids because they’re “old” is getting … well … old.Do I sometimes think back to the times I did ballet religiously? Sure. But not with a “used to” but with a “It was fun until it lasted, but salsa dancing sounds great too, I should try it next week!”
Doesn’t stop when someone already has a baby. My husband still gets asked when we’ll have a second child and when he answers that we don’t want a second, the next sentence is “Haha your wife will change her mind, you’ll see. Women always want to have more children.” or “One child is no child”. He then always goes into a detailed describtion how his vasectomy was done and gets told he’s “oversharing”. :D But to be fair, those asking are normally people we’re not close with and never friends or family. (Which I don’t get, to be honest. Why would anyone ask a colleage about his reproduction plans? Or a neighbour? Or someone you just met somewhere?)
Interesting! Here in Germany a head shot is mandatory. Not by law of course, but not including one would be the same as not applying at all – no photo, no interview. At minimum wage jobs it’s sometimes a bit different, especially jobs like McDonalds, but aside from that you’ll always need a photo here.
I mean, the idea itself is not that bad, themed dinners are a thing. (Don’t know if you have that where you live, but here Crime Dinners and Medieval Dinners are quite liked). But decorating it specially for every customer? Won’t make much money unless you have a basement full of decorations already. Anyway I would definitely buy a pirates dinner! Would love that! :D
