I was introduced to Pogo at age nine—71 years ago—by my father, who loved Pogo. We read Pogo and many other funnies in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch back then. I’m still a big Pogo fan, and now a big fan of Fur Babies!
Our current cat, Felicity, came to us from a friend who could not keep her any longer. We didn’t change her name, but she gets called Pretty Kitty a lot. She is a mix of colors—black, white, orange, brownish. Sort of a tortie/calico/brown tabby.
Previously, we had a pair of brothers we adopted from a rescue organization when they were 4 months old. Their names were Lou and Lucky, and we changed Lou to Louie. Lucky was orange and white, and Louie was mostly white with some orange-tan tabby areas. Louie and Lucky are the cats in my avatar.
Before that, we had Sugarfoot (black and white tuxedo cat with four white feet) and Puff, a beige (cream) tabby. Puff’s full name was Tough Puff MacDuff.
Earlier cats included Butterscotch, Smoky, Little Bit, Toby (female calico), Fluffy (a beautiful female with longish gray fur), Buster (orange cat named by my father) and Trinket (orange and white).
Very wise, Snow!
