I’m trying to figure that out too!

Oh my gosh, this fits me to a T! Although I’m a bugger, a birder, AND a snaker…

This is one of the funniest Richard Thompson I’ve ever read! God, he was a comedic master. He is to comic strips as David Sedaris is to writing.

This strip began in 1963 and is set in a village in England. A bit more civilized place and time. Some dogs were off leash and well trained. Still are, as we saw in the country and in the city parks when we were in England. I like to imagine, in today’s strip, that Mrs Dear is a few feet away looking at fresh vegetables in an outdoor market. Fred is being the excellent hound that he is.

    Yes, I noticed that, too!

I love Harney & Sons! Such wonderful tea! And the tins containing the tea are beautiful.I read their online catalog for pure PLEASURE! It’s like meditation, LOL.

I laughed out loud, too! Great humor, plus it’s one of my favorite books. That emphasis on the importance of what CHOICES you make is powerful! My sister was with her sophomore French class touring Europe, and A Clockwork Orange was one of the books she brought with her. She was on the tour bus reading it and one of the tour guides commented that it was a bit heavy for a young person. She shot him a sharp look and said, “I like it” — and continued reading. ’Nuff said!

“Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.” And now I want to reread (again) the Foundation books!

So happy the Giant Schnauzer won Best in Show! I’m a big fan of the breed.
