    yes it seems odd but not impossible they would have guns with them out there in the wilderness of Africa and they’ve been attacked a couple times.

    almost identical to recent The Phantom comic (this one presumably preceded it) – since I despise sport hunters and poachers I’m all for both strips.

    the white guys (can he really tell from the track? The style of boots? The smell?) are probably there to exploit -maybe illegally-some money-making resource, a gold or uranium mine or slaving or something.

    first, the language of Bolgani, a gorilla, ain’t necessarily the same. May not even have one. Second, Tarzan didn’t have time to talk a charging bloodcrazed gorilla out of attacking a guy, he had to stop him in the way that Tarzan does such things.

    that’s not improbable. You see, he’s Tarzan. BTW, the blind can often sense the identity of someone approaching from their distinctive step. Tarzan’s senses are just as sharp.

    they’re on the way. But he’s helping the kid bigtime. It’s sort of like Captains Courageous.

    I think it’ll be revealed he’s doing this to keep an eye on them, prevent them from doing harm and getting into too much danger.
