There’s a presenter on Youtube, she’s from Italy, and does great food segments. She pronounces the “b” in “subtle” with her thick Italian accent, and well, it’s quite charming.

I’m going to start putting magazines in the bathroom again to cut down my screen time. Can’t have output without input.

My grandmother would soak my feet in hot water with epsom salts when I had a cold (one of those foot jacuzzis). Probably didn’t do anything, but a hot foot soak is almost always nice.

I know it’s probably psychosomatic, but when I start feeling sick now, I start a course of Airborne and more often than not it knocks it back.

They can’t do anything that’s unconstitutional. Any spending must go through Congress. Biden even admitted he wasn’t allowed to do it, but did it anyway.

Most of the people getting their debt passed on to the rest of us make an average of $300,000 a year. It’s not just vote buying, it’s political donation fishing.

You left out something that happened in 2008 that was one of the main causes for universities to start raising their prices. Changes were made so that student loans have to go through the federal Department of Education, students were/are no longer able to go to independent lenders and shop around for the best rates. The DOE also started guaranteeing every single loan, which is the kicker. That’s when colleges started drastically raising costs because they knew they’d get the money, and people really started having problems with student loan debt after that. I don’t remember even hearing about it being an issue until well after 2012.

I slept on a couch for most of this year after losing my apartment on January 1st (priced out by the “great” four-letter-word economy that I’m told I’m too stupid to realize how great it is), nothing to change. Since I finally got into a new place (new job, now I can afford it again and then some), I wash them every Sunday. I’m grateful to be able to do that chore now, never thought I’d miss doing that.

At my last job, during Covid I had to call tech support for a piece of software we used. The guy I spoke with spoke English very well without a heavy accent. At one point, when I swear it sounded like he was sitting next to an open window and I could hear the breeze, CAHCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOO!!! Right into my ear. He was sitting next to an open window, and a rooster flew up and crowed at him. Obviously working from home!

There’s a saying that goes something like “you have to be really good in order to play really bad”. The better you are, the better you can mimic bad playing convincingly. Benny Hill never hired bad violin players, he hired good ones to play badly.
