Weird to see a “kids these days” comment on a strip set in the 80s.

Based on “Foxtrot,” you might enjoy “Wallace the Brave” and “Crabgrass.” They’re both relatively new to syndication – just a few years old.“Scenes from a Multiverse,” “Widdershins,” and “Bad Machinery” put me in mind of other webcomics on gocomics like “Deep Dark Fears,” “Please Listen to Me,” “Wondermark,” and “Skin Horse.” “Skin Horse” is in reruns, so you can read the entire thing. I suggest “Arlo and Janis” to pretty much everyone, it’s solid.

My coworkers walk around unmasked, coughing without covering their mouths, and complain about other people “not keeping their germs to themselves.” Buddy, masks exist and you could be wearing one. The solution is RIGHT THERE. I am modeling the solution EVERY DAY. Come on.

I did that too bc I thought tracing my way through the maze was a waste of time so why not jump from wall to wall. It got me sent to special ed in first grade. I am not joking, it was weird.

I think you’re right. It’s still endemic in some areas, and with the ease of travel we currently enjoy there’s really nothing stopping it from returning. I can understand people in their, say, 50s & younger not understanding how dire polio is. I’m 45, I only know about it second hand. Nobody I know has had it save for a few people of my parents’ generation. But an awful lot of the folks working to ban the vaccine lived through polio. They have friends and family who contracted it. They saw how bad it was. I don’t understand it.

May I make some suggestions based on assumptions I’ve made looking at the comics you follow?

    Dust, boogers, ghosts, etc.

    Mildred is SO great.

Yes, and I forget if this affects her or not, but she’s been one in the area for a long time as opposed to being new or from an outside area and with no history or contacts. People in that area will still need to buy/rent(?) homes and shops and she’s well positioned to do so.

Yeah, that was my read too.
