For some reason I’m getting LOST season 6 vibes; probably due to the implication that certain persons need to be collected in a certain place in order to transcend or whatnot.
From Holly’s farewell onwards, I get a distinct sense of Aaron clearing the stage, so to speak. Its individual components are still well made, but I think Endtown has become less fun as a result. Now we’ve got Amesworth, who seems designed to hasten the story towards its conclusion. I won’t be surprised if the strip is a year or so from ending, seeing as the background has come to the foreground.
One thing does strike me as strange: Why should cardoodles have species-appropriate lifespans? That’d make sense if they were true mutants, but they’re not. It’s a rare cartoon that gives its animals realistic lifespans.
Right, but it was immunity to the radiation, not, as I had misremembered, the “virus”. He didn’t mutate because he lacked a cartoon counterpart, or so it seems.
At this point it looks like it has to be a matter of willpower. As long as you believe yourself immune to the “virus”, you are. See also the scientist with the anti-mutagenic radiation from way-back.
Clearly time is more sluggish in the reality Aaron inhabits…
In all seriousness, I hope it’s nothing serious, especially not at a time like this. Get well soon, Aaron!
