Sorry, I always read the contracts. I also read purchase orders from companies at work. One large company has a clause in their standard terms where they obtain the intellectual property of anything they purchase – regardless of separate patents, etc. Is that enforceable? Probably not, however I refused to sell them anything until they changed it. You know how they changed it? They have a specific exemption for products purchased from my company. Every time we get a PO from them we have to remind them that we need that language added to the PO. /sigh.
My grandmother gave me a clock radio in 1980 and I still use it to this day. It works perfectly. If it ever dies I’ll probably switch to my smart phone.
I had to stop the physical paper. They stopped delivering it before I went to work. Now I read the digital version at lunch. Not better, slightly worse experience.
